2006 Day of Talks and AGM

The AGM and day of talks took place on the 4th February. There were three fascinating lectures of extrememly high quality.  It is hoped to be able to put some of the lecturers notes or powerpoint presentations on the site in the future (if Angela and Graham are reading this can you forward them to Andrew please... pretty please).  There is a write up in the May newsletter

The speakers and their subjects were:

Angela Coe – Detecting global environmental change from the sedimentary record

Graham Oram – Witwatersrand Gold Field

Antonia Weston – Colchester Earthquake

The AGM was very successful with many posts on the committee filled, including secretary and news letter editor.  The minutes are in the March Newsletter and there is a write up of the talks in the May Newsletter. Dr Antonia Weston has sent us the presentation she gave at the AGM. As soon as we have integrated a members only area into the website this presentation will be postes on the website.

Note: The 2007 AGM is on the 10th February. Put this date in your diaries.
